Currently, am working as a Senior Engineer – Non Revenue Water, at Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EXPERIENCE RECORD July 2011 – To Date – sENIOR eNGINEER – Non Revenue Water – Physical Losses – LUSAKA WATER AND SEWERAGE COMPANY Answerable to the Manager – Non Revenue Water The main objective of the job is to coordinate activities pertaining to management of Physical Losses in order to reduce Non-Revenue Water (NRW) at Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company to economically acceptable levels. The main duties accountabilities are as follows; -To Compute and Analyze Physical Water Losses globally - Coordinate the reduction of physical or real losses -To map Leakages on GIS water network to ease decision making - To coordinate management of DMA and system meters for improved measurements - To developed Sectional objectives and budget - To provided technical advice to various departments linking NRW activities in LWSC - Supervision of contractors and consultants in the execution of contracts assigned - To produced reports as and when required - To supervise NRW departmental staff and provide guidance to staff in other departments - To appraisal staff Special Projects and Achievements
May 2009 – to July 2011 HEAD – Peri – Urban East – LUSAKA WATER AND SEWERAGE COMPANY Answerable to the Manager – Peri Urban The main objective of the job is to manage revenue, increase customer base and provide high standard Service to the peri – urban east of Lusaka. The main duties accountabilities are as follows; - Management of revenue and growth of customer base in specific areas -Participation in preparation of annual operating plan -Advertising budget and its expenditure, including branding, promotions and media campaigns and Publicity and public relations -Total Quality management of systems and customer care. -New business generation from agents (water development committees) by increasing client base -Writing business plans and tender propalsals -Co-ordinating the activities of all engineering, accounting and field community development services In the peri urban east of Lusaka -Monitoring and overseeing the effective operation of the water supply system requiring planning, application of technical expertise to achieve desired results. -Promoting community participation in the proper utilization of water facilities in order to prevent vandalism and unnecessary damange. -Monitor and liase with contractors engaged in the construction of company infrastructure -Supervision of staff to ensure adherence of planned preventive and corrective maintenance.
2007- 2009 ENGINEER-WATER AND SANITATION-LUSAKA WATER AND SEWARAGE COMPANY Answerable to the manager-peri urban The primary purpose was to plan, coordinate and execute operation and maintenance of the water supply and sanitation systems in the respective zone.The main duties accountabilities are as follows: - Increase customer base. -To undertake water network control exercises to determine the optimum provision of the water supply services in the peri – urban areas. -Assist in selection and appointment of consultants. -Assists in the preparation of specifications and contract document. -Monitor supply and oversee the effective operation of the water supply system requiring planning and application of technical expertise to achieve desired results. -Carry out related research/feasibility studies and prepare draft plans for establishing, expanding and improving water supply systems economically in Peri-Urban areas. -Promotes community participation in the protection and proper utilization of water facilities in order to prevent vandalism and unnecessary damage. -Liaise closely with the maintainance department to ensure preventive and major repairs/installations are executed as planned and promptly to safe guard and promote company interests. -Prepare and submit various technical and statistical reports reguraly and on adhoc basis concerning activities of the unit i.e. consultants successes, programs etc for superiors information and action. -Carry out water demand management and network management. -Plan, coordinate and oversee the construction of on-site sanitation within the zone. -Process all the surveyed new water applications and prepare the bill of quantities. -Design, preparation of bill of quantities and construction of new water infrastructure in un-serviced areas. -Perform any other duty as may be reqired by the peri – urban areas.
2004.-2007 PRODUCTION ENGINEER-POLYTHENE PRODUCTS Answerable to the Production /Factory Manager. Duties included overall running of production as the primary objective of the organization.Tasks include the following; -Head of department and in charge of overall production and a workforce of over 150 men who included technologists, technicians, production supervisors and machine operators. -Responsible for quality assuarance of the product. -Liase and assisit human resource officer in executing personnel issues -Incharge of corrective and preventive maintenance of machinery. -Involved in development programs like machine modification machine installation, testing and commissioning. -Attending key management meetings.

The project involved collection of relevant data, calculations and assessment of the heat and power loss due to poor insulations and steam leakages.
