CULTURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT PROJECTSMr. Herbert's academic fields of specialization were in California and Western United States history. Following graduation from the University of California with his MA in 1977 he has worked as a consulting historian on a wide variety of historical research and cultural resources management projects, as a researcher, writer, and project manager. Over the past five years, Mr. Herbert has managed, written, or worked on building inventory and evaluation projects for Caltrans, the Department of Defense, San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments, and other agencies or private individuals.
