LASS DESCRIPTIONS

CARDIOVASCULAR AND MUSCLE CLASSES

BODYCOMBAT is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. Great for al fitness levels!

BODYPUMP™ is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great for Beginners to Advanced.

CARDIO BOXING: This class focuses on pure boxing technique, while providing an intense cardiovascular and muscle-toning workout. You’ll burn fat, tone your muscles, and learn the fundamentals of boxing.

STEP: This class utilizes an adjustable height step making the workout an aerobic challenge for all fitness levels. Complexity of step patterns varies with instructor.

ZUMBA: Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO" in order for Zumba participants to stick to the Zumba fitness program to achieve long-term health benefits. Zumba is not only great for the body, but is also great for the mind. It is a "feel-happy" workout.

TABATA TB – Blast fat and strengthen your en tire body with a workout fitness experts have been raving about. Tabata Total Body (TB) features 20 seconds of extreme exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated eight times without pause. With full intensity of execution you’ll be guaranteed results!

TABATA CARDIO – Same format as Tabata TB but ALL Cardio.

ABS EXPRESS: 15 Minute endurance class concentrating strictly on abdominal work.
MIND & BODY CLASSES

KYOKUSHIN KARATE: A traditional Japanese martial art founded in the early 50’s by Masutatsu Oyama. Kyokushin karate is a known as a “Budo System”, or warrior system. Budo systems stress a disciplined approach to physical conditioning, basics (kihon), kata (forms), and kumite (sparring). Benefits include learning self-defense & fighting skills, improved flexibility, coordination, strength, & stamina, weight control / weight loss, improved self-confidence, stress relief, and improved concentration.

POWER YOGA: Works the entire body through a challenging series of yoga postures and stretches that build strength, flexibility and balance. This sweaty form of yoga leaves you feeling energized and renewed. Prior yoga experience is recommended, but not required. Newcomers should inform the instructor so that modifications may be given.

YOGA: This class utilizes specific yoga postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation to develop muscular strength and flexibility. All levels.

PLATES YOGA FUSION: Basic elements of this class are breathing, balance, concentration, control, muscle development, relaxation and whole body movement. All Levels.

PILATES: Based on the teachings of Joseph Pilates. A mat class designed to increase core body strength and improve flexibility.

YOGALATES: A fusion of yoga and Pilates that focuses on flexibility, core stability and strengthening and balance. This class will make you sweat but will also leave you feeling loose and relaxed. Modifications for all levels.
GROUP FITNESS STUDIO PROCEDURES, GUIDELINES & ETIQUETTE

  • Due to space and equipment, you must sign up for all BODYPUMP and BODYCOMBAT classes. You may sign up as early as 30 minutes in advance (5 minutes for alliance guests and nonmembers). You must be in the studio at the start of class. Otherwise, your space may be given to another participant.

  • Please be on time to class. The warm-up is an important part of the class and aids in the prevention of injury.

  • DO NOT ENTER A CLASS IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 10 MINUTES LATE. Lateness to class is both a safety issue and a distraction to others.

  • Classes are a group activity. We request that you follow the instructor’s routine.

  • Enter the studio only after the previous class has finished.

  • We request that you return all equipment neatly to the appropriate storage area.

  • If you are new, pregnant or have any injuries, please inform the instructor prior to class.

  • Remember to always work at your own pace.

  • Please remember personal hygiene and refrain from wearing perfume or cologne.
