A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of James Harvey Adams.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to James Harvey Adams, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.

WHEREAS, James Harvey Adams was born on December 10, 1936, a native of Jessamine County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on March 12, 2003; and

WHEREAS, James Harvey Adams was the loving son of the late James and Mable Walker Adams; he was the devoted husband of Martha Adams; he was the loving father of a son, Michael Adams, and two daughters, Ann Harvey Benge and Jamie Catherine Garrett, all of Nicholasville; and he was the proud grandfather of four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren; and he also leaves behind two loving brothers, Wayne Perkins of Nicholasville, and William Perkins of Houston, Texas, and a loving sister, Charlotte Reynolds; and

WHEREAS, the passing of James Harvey Adams has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of James Harvey Adams, and extends to his family and friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of James Harvey Adams.

Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Mrs. Martha Adams, 2129 Vince Road, Nicholasville, Kentucky 30356.
